Key Stage 1 PE Planning Test
Teach Learn Grow - PE
"Key Stage 1 PE is absolutely fundamental to the early development of core motor skills and physical literacy."

KS1 Planning

The TLG-PE system focuses on a 'mastery of PE' approach to Key Stage 1 planning; ensuring that all of the core skills required are achieved through carefully planned units of work that focus on 'repetition without repetition'.

Key Stage 1 PE is designed to be delivered as skill-based units, utilising a range of sports and equipment to focus on technique and then skill development.

The expectation from the TLG-PE Key Stage 1 PE plans is that by the end of Year 2, all children are able to successfully complete the skills in isolation, allowing Key Stage 2 PE to focus on applying these skills in more complex, sport specific environments.

The TLG-PE Key Stage 1 PE Planning covers the following areas - You can click on the sign posts for more information about what the units of work focus on in both Year 1 and Year 2.
